Islamabad, parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa receive heavy rain

NDMA has already issued warnings of floods, landslides, and GLOF warnings and instructed the administration to prepare.

Including the federal capital, Islamabad, and parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday received heavy rainfall coupled with thunderstorms.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had issued a warning about possible floods, landslides due to heavy rainfall and increasing temperature owing to climate change.

The NDMA had asked concerned authorities of the districts for preparations ahead of the chances of losses, damages due to floods, landslides in the country.

On Monday afternoon, heavy rains began to lash Islamabad, parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, which disturbed the routine life in Islamabad and other cities.

Rain lashed Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Hassabad, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Swat, Torghar, Kohistan and other regions, which also dropped the temperature.
