Two persons were killed over an old enmity when a rival group opened fire on them on Nalo Road in the Baidara area of Matta Tehsil, District Swat, on Thursday.
According to officials at Matta Police Station, the two persons were shot dead near Umar Khitab’s plant nursery on Nalo Road in Baidara. The suspects, traveling in a blue Vitz car, opened fire on them, said Arif Khan, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Matta Police Station. The deceased were identified as Shawkat, son of Abdul Ghafar, and Shabir, son of Said Ahmad, both residents of Baidara.
Mr. Khan further stated that the incident is linked to an old enmity. “One of the relatives of the deceased, Gohar Ali, has accused Muhsin, son of Tahir, and Javid, son of Hinayat Ullah, both residents of Baidara, of the murder. Following this, we have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against them,” he said.He also mentioned that the suspects have not been arrested yet; however, raids are being conducted to find them, and further interrogation is underway.
