Municipal services demanded for Chakesar

SHANGLA: Residents of Chakesar tehsil have demanded of the government to provide municipal services in the area as it had been given status of tehsil a year ago but TMA was yet established.
They told reporters here the other day that despite giving status of tehsil to Chakesar it has been not facilitated with the tehsil municipal administration and due to absence of municipal services locals people have been facing severe problems.
“Chakesar is a historical and dense settlement town but it has been neglected by the excessive governments and maintained discriminatory attitude with the local people, which resulted the town remains at the top of underdeveloped areas list,” Gohar Ali, a local activist said
He said they paid huge amount to the government as tax through bus stands and other resources but in response government do not give proper heed to the area.
Azizullah, another resident said that residents of other parts of the district including Bisham, Alpuri, Puran were getting benefits of the TMA as municipal workers clean that areas main territories, while the Chakesar people were getting ill due to filthy and populated environment.
Advocate Abdulbar said they dumped wast garbage and trash in streets as neither there garbage dumping site nor installed dustbin for putting garbage putting.
“We have raised the issue severally through different platforms but except mere assurances no one moved yet for concrete steps for solving our basic problems. We want clean Chakesar for which government should play its role,” the senior lawyer demanded.
They said Chakesar was becoming more filthy region in the district due not non-availibality of municipal services, therefore government take steps for provision for the facility in the newborn tehsil.
Attempts were made to get version of the elected MPA and naib nazim tehsil Alpuri, but both phones were found switch off.
