BUNER: Including, four women, Eight persons were killed and three others injured when a pickup fell into a ravine after its driver lost control over the steering due to bad condition of the road at Landai Khwa Pyazo Kass area of Buner district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Saturday evening.
The Buner district police public relation officer, Mohammad Israr told The Northern Post that a pickup van driven by Zakirullah, a resident of Kass fell into the ravine Landai Khwa Pyazo Kass which came in the limits of Batara police station of Buner.
He said the initial report said that including two women, five persons were killed and three injured, however, the Rescue 1122, Buner, spokesperson, Sohail Khan said that the total casualties were 8, and three persons were injured in the traffic accident.
Upon confirmation, the police spokesperson, Mohammad Israr affirmed the tally of casualties and injured and said the injured and dead bodies had been brought to the district headquarters hospital, Daggar.

He said the injured and deceased were local from different neighborhoods of the Chagharzai area of Buner.
Police spokesperson identified the deceased as Behtareen Khan-65, Mahisha-60, Aqibullah-60, Zahir Shah-45, Umaira-21, Gul Mewa, and Aleema Bibi and injured as Latifullah-24, Tufilka-8, Zakir Khan-driver, and Zahirullah- helper.
