8 died in road accident in Buner

At least 8 passengers of a family have died when a Chagharzai bound pickup fell thousands fellow bellow the gorge, women and children among the victims, as said the Rescue 1122 officials.
Rescue 1122 official says that a pickup carrying, including the driver 8 members of a family from Swarai area to Shangrai Kandaw in Buner on Thursday evening when it met the fatal accident.
He said total 8 family members including the driver have died and shifted to their houses in Shangrai Kandaw from the accident location. Five women, two children and a man were among the deceased.
Rescue 1122 official said it seemed the driver lost control over the steering or developed some technical fault in the pickup which caused the fatal accident and claimed 8 lives of a family.
He said the pickup fell into 1600 feet deep gorge from the rough dilapidated road.
He identified the deceased as Roshin Zra, Zahida, Zahira, Farina, Zafar Khan, Tufail Ayan and Talha, resident of village Shahi of Shangrai Kandaw in Buner.
Majority of link roads in the mountainous districts of North Pakistan have been badly affected by the recent rainfall due to which travel on them has become difficult and dangerous.
