For the first time in winter, five teenage mountain climbers from Chitral broke the previous record by crossing the 5,200-meter-high Oxhor Pass. Their outstanding accomplishment has made the entire country, not just Chitral, proud.
Through Pindoru Chaat, the Arkari Valley is connected to Susoom via the Oxhor Pass. This route was previously traversed by a man from Susoom in 1982, but no one has been able to get there since.
Two climbers from abroad recently vanished while trying to traverse this pass. Five Chitrali mountaineers reached this milestone and made a safe return in spite of the harsh and severe winter circumstances.
Adil Zaman, Muhammad Abdullah Asfandyar, Salman Iftikhar Ali Shah, Shahid, and Yasir Ali are among the Climbers.
Shabdaraz Trekkers, a local organization in Chitral devoted to advancing mountain trekking and adventure culture in the area, organized the mountain track.
This momentous accomplishment not only raises the spirits of the young people of Chitral but also revitalizes the local expedition culture in Pakistan.
