Pakistan’s Auto Market Accelerates in Q1FY26

First quarter vehicle sales jump 53% to 42,267 units as new models, lower financing costs, and revived consumer confidence fuel broad market recovery.

A rise kicked in Pakistan’s automobile market; FY26 in the automobile sector started at a strong position. Meanwhile, the percentage recorded in car sales is 53 percent, along with SUVs, pickups, and vans, to 42,267 units in the first quarter; that is compared to 27,585 in the same period from last fiscal year.

The most essential indicators for maintaining vehicle demand in the market include the introduction of new varieties, lower interest rates, and improved consumer sentiments.
There is strong recovery showed in Pakistan automobile industry in September 2025, as per the total car sales rose 67% on year on year YOY and 22% on month to month MOM to 17,174 units: according to PAMA (Pakistan Automobile Manufacture).

As Per Myesha Shoail post the Topline Securities: With the sales of Honda Civic, City, BR-V and HR-V rising 82pc YoY and 115pc MoM to 2,307 units Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) had the highest in September this year. When compared to the same period previous year, the company’s total sales in 1QFY26 increased by 46% to 4,880 units.

Alto sales up to 50% YoY and 13% MoM, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) came in second, with a 79% YoY and 26% MoM growth to 8,997 units. Strong improvements of 7.3x, 2.3x, and 4.3x YoY were also observed by the Cultus, Swift, and Ravi models.

Sales of its recently released Haval H6 PHEV variant helped Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) increase 73% year over year and 36% month over month to 1,429 units. Indus Motor Company (INDU) reported 33% YoY growth but a 7% MoM reduction to 3,152 units, while Hyundai Nishat reported 56% YoY growth but a minor 3% MoM decline to 1,175 units.

Two and three-wheeler sales increased by 21% year over year and 7% month over month in September 2025, reaching 158,941 units, a 35% YoY rise from 1QFY26 sales of 432,000 units. With 136,000 deliveries of the CD70 and other motorcycles, Atlas Honda (ATLH) achieved its best monthly sales ever.

On the other hand, floods and poor farm economics were the primary causes of the 27% YoY and 21% MoM drop in tractor sales to 790 units. Nonetheless, 2,077 units produced indicates consistent demand under the government’s tractor program, suggesting a potential recovery.

Sales of trucks and buses reached an 88-month high of 824 units, up 2.6x YoY and 24% MoM. Sales of heavy vehicles increased from 926 units during the same period last year to 1,864 units during the first quarter of FY26.
