Accused arrested for creating fake social media account to blackmail and harass woman; DPO vows zero tolerance
Haripur police, in an important operation, have arrested an accused who blackmailed, harassed, threatened a girl, and shared her obscene picture through a fact-check social media account.
Under the instruction of DPO Haripur Farhan Khan, the investigation continues against women being harassed, blackmailed, and threatened.
In the boundaries of the City Police Station, an incident of blackmailing, harassing, and threatening a girl through a fake account occurred. On the application of the citizen, FIR has been registered against the accused under Section 506/25 D.
SHO City Police Station, Rizwan Khan, along with his squad, started the investigation and arrested the accused, Ismail.
DPO Haripur has said in his message that harassment and blackmail against women will not be tolerated, and strict actions will be taken against such elements.
