Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signs historic Defense Strategic Agreement

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman formalized the pact in Riyadh, signaling a strengthened alliance

Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has signed bilateral Defense Strategic Agreement on Wednesday.  This agreement was settled during the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Yamama Palace of Saudi Arabia.

The purpose of this Defence Strategy done between Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is to promote and strengthen Defence Coorporation between two countries. This agreement will not only promote peace in the area but also will be an expressiopln of shared commitment.

 According to this agreement, if there is aggression in one country, then it will be considered an attack on both countries.

On this occasion, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has warmly wecolmed the Pakistani Prime Minister. On the arrival of Prime Minister, a Royal Cavalry welcomed him in Yama Palace. During ceremony, a unit of Saudi Arab Armed Forces presented Guard of Honour and both countries national anthems were also played.

Both leaders took the advantage of occassion and introduced their delegations. Pakistani delegation include Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshall Syed Asim Munir, Federal Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Atta Ullah Tarar, Muhammad Aurangzaib, Dr. Mossadegh Malik and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
