KP introduces Ehsaas e-Pension, Pakistan’s first fully digital system

The landmark digital governance initiative, approved by CM Gandapur, will streamline the pension process to ensure transparency

In a landmark step towards digital governance, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has approved the launch of the *Ehsaas e-Pension System*, Pakistan’s first fully paperless pension management system.

🔹The system will officially go live on January 1, 2026, replacing the outdated paper-based pension process with a digital, transparent, and efficient platform.
🔹A comprehensive concept paper and roadmap with clear timelines has been finalized by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and assigned to the Finance Department for implementation.
🔹The formal inauguration is targeted for January 15, 2026.

Key Features

✅Ehsaas Pension Dashboard: a secure, web-based, paperless workflow.
✅ Pension cases can be filed six months before retirement via a simple online form.
✅ All documents can be digitally scanned and uploaded to the portal.
✅ Automated, time-bound task creation for concerned authorities.
✅ No physical files or papers at any stage of the process.
✅ System-generated retirement orders, sanction orders, pension papers, and pension payment orders, all with legally valid digital signatures.
✅ Integrated with NADRA, the Accountant General Office, and banks for seamless verification and payment.
✅ Direct pension transfer to the retiree’s bank account within a 2–4 week cycle (reduced from several months).

Monitoring & Transparency

✅ The performance of departments will be tracked through the dashboard.
✅ The CM, Chief Secretary, and Finance Secretary will monitor progress in real-time.
✅ Enhanced transparency, accountability, and efficiency across the system.

With this initiative, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa becomes the first province in Pakistan to launch an e-Pension system, building on the government’s achievement of already digitizing 36 citizen services, with more to follow.
