
At least 8 died and several others were injured in rain-related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.
According to the Rescue 1122 official, 8 people died in DI Khan district on the night of 23 August. He said the dead and injured were brought to the district headquarters hospital. He said more information was being collected.
Urban flooding was also reported from the Mardan district and in a lightning incident in the Shangla district.
According to the official, a car was swept away by the rain-triggered flood in Yakhtangay Shangla.
Rescue 1122 officials said that 110 people had been safely evacuated to safer places.
The provincial disaster management authority (PDMA) also issued its daily situation report, stating that 406 people died and 247 were injured across the province since August 15.
