Mansehra schools closed for two days amid heavy rain, flood alerts

Residents are urged to stay updated through official channels and take necessary precautions.

MANSEHRA: (August 18, 2025) The Deputy Commissioner, Mansehra, on Monday announced the closure of the district government and private schools in response to the ongoing torrential rains and the heightened risk of flooding.

According to an official notification issued on Monday by DC Mansehra, the precautionary measure aims to protect the lives of students and avoid endangering them amid severe weather conditions. Authorities have warned that the current rainfall could trigger floods, posing a threat to human lives and property in the region.

The school closure will remain in effect for Tuesday and Wednesday, with further decisions subject to the evolving weather situation.
