Babusar road likely to reopen tomorrow
NHA speeds up restoration as federal secretary visits site; GB CM orders intensified rescue operations

The Babusar Road, which was severely affected due to recent floods and landslides, is expected to be partially restored for traffic by tomorrow evening with the support of the National Highway Authority (NHA), according to the spokesperson of the Gilgit-Baltistan government.
Federal Secretary for Communications and Works, Sher Alam Masood, also visited the Babusar Road site along with local administration and police officials in Chilas to assess the situation firsthand.
The spokesperson added that rescue and search operations have been intensified across the province, as directed by the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan, who has instructed all relevant departments to expedite road rehabilitation efforts.
