
A Judicial Magistrate in Islamabad issued an order on Tuesday for YouTube management to remove or suspend the accounts of 27 individuals from Pakistan. The order stated that these individuals were found to have violated the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and various penal laws.
The order copy states that it was announced on Jun 24, 2025, under section 94 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the inquiry number 717-2025.
It said after hearing the inquiry officer and examining the record on file, in the light of facts explained and evidence presented by the inquiry officer, this court is convinced that the subject matter constitutes offences punishable under the PECA and Penal Laws of Pakistan.
It is mentioned in the Islamabad court order, the head and officer in charge of the security department, custodian of records, to Google LLC. D/B/A YouTube USA is therefore directed to block/ remove the said YouTube accounts.
The YouTube channels which have been ordered to be blocked are Haider Mehdi, Saddiqui Jan, Sabee Kazmi, Orya Maqbool Jan, Arzoo Kazmi, Rana Uzair, Sajid Gondal, Habib Akram, Matiullah Jan, Asad Toor, Imran Riaz Khan, Naya Pakistan, Sabir Shakir, Imran Khan, Aftab Iqbal, Real Entertainment TV, Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf, Daily Qudrat, Abdul Qadir, Charsadda Journalist, Naila Pakistani Reaction, Wajahat Saeed Khan, Ahmad Noorani, Nazar Chohan, Moeed Pirzada, Makhdoom Shahabuddin and others.
