In an unusual and heartwarming incident, four sons in Shangla district arranged the marriage of their 90-year-old father, fulfilling his long-held desire for companionship after the death of his first wife.
The elderly man, Maulana Saifullah, tied the knot in a ceremony organized entirely by his sons, who took it upon themselves to find a suitable bride for him. The nikah was performed with a dowry of one tola of gold.
Speaking to local media, Shafiullah, one of the sons, shared, “After our mother passed away, our father often expressed his wish to remarry so that he wouldn’t feel alone. We, his four sons, worked together to find him a wife and make his dream come true.”
The wedding was attended by family members, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as locals who celebrated the joyous occasion.
This rare and heartwarming event challenges conventional societal norms, highlighting the importance of family support and emotional fulfillment regardless of age. The sons’ gesture has been widely praised as a beautiful example of love, respect, and devotion toward their father.
