Shangla: The University of Shangla hosted its first-ever “Book Fair,” organized by the students. Various book stalls featuring a wide range of subjects were set up, which were well-received by students, faculty members, and other attendees.
The opening ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Sardar Khan, as the chief guest, who formally inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon. The students gave the Vice Chancellor a warm welcome, and he expressed his appreciation for their efforts in organizing the fair.
Following the inauguration, Dr. Sardar Khan visited the book stalls and reviewed the collection of books on display. While addressing the gathering, he stated:
“Today’s youth are largely engaged in social media and other non-academic activities, whereas a book is a person’s best friend. I fully support such events and urge all students to value friendship with books and focus wholeheartedly on their education.”
He also expressed his commitment to steering the University of Shangla towards progress and emphasized the importance of regularly organizing academic activities, programs, and events.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor thanked the Book Fair Organizing Committee and appreciated their hard work and dedication.
