Two women killed in separate incidents in Swat
One woman stabbed by husband, another murdered by brother; police launch investigations and arrest suspect in one case

Swat: Two women were killed on same day in separate incidents one over a domestic dispute and the other in the name of honor at Matta tehsil of Swat here on Monday.
According to Matta police, due to a prolonged domestic dispute a woman named Ishrat, a resident of Sindpora village, was stabbed to death by her husband Ayoub son of (Sarzamin).” After receiving information, I along with my team rushed to the scene where we found a body of the deceased. It was then shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Matta (THQ) for medico-legal procedures.” Said Habib Syed, station house officer (SHO) Matta Police Station. He added that the accused escaped from the scene, and police have begun conducting raids to apprehend him. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The victim was the mother of six children.
In a separate incident police reported that a woman, identified as (Zobida), a daughter of Rahim Zada and the resident of Fazal Baig Garai of Matta tehsil, was killed by her brother in the name of honor. The body was shifted to the Rural Health Center (RHC) in Darmai for an autopsy, after which it was handed over to her family. Police have arrested the suspect and launched further investigation into the case.
