Marking 15 years of Bollywood’s biggest comedy franchise, the makers of Housefull unveiled the much-awaited teaser for Housefull 5 on April 30, 2025—exactly a decade-and-a-half after the first film’s release. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film promises a wild blend of humor and suspense, set aboard a luxury cruise where chaos takes a deadly turn.
The star-studded ensemble features franchise regulars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunky Pandey, alongside returning faces like Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nargis Fakhri. New additions include Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, and Fardeen Khan, with Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, and Dino Morea adding to the madness. The teaser opens with glamorous slow-motion intros but soon twists into a “killer comedy” as a masked murderer stalks the ship, leaving fans guessing who’s behind the mayhem.
Slated for release on June 6, 2025, Housefull 5 is touted as a family entertainer with chartbuster songs, high-octane comedy, and a whodunit twist. Nadiadwala, who also crafted the story, aims to elevate the franchise’s signature slapstick with suspense. Sanjay Dutt, in a recent interview, teased the film as “another crazy comedy,” while the makers dubbed it “India’s only franchise to hit five installments.”
The teaser’s release sparked nostalgia and frenzy among fans, with social media buzzing about the franchise’s evolution since Sajid Khan’s 2010 original. With a screenplay by Mansukhani and Farhad Samji, Housefull 5 sails into theaters next summer, hoping to replicate the success of its predecessors, which collectively grossed over ₹1,000 crore worldwide.
