A jeep plunged into the ravine in Sangrai area of Shangla on Friday afternoon. The Awami National Party’s Provincial deputy general secretary and former provincial assembly candidate, Mutawakil Khan died in this accident and his driver sustained with critical injuries.
According to police, the vehicle’s brakes went out of order when ANP’s deputy general secretary was returning from condolences. As a result the jeep fell into a ravine and Mutawakil Khan died on the spot.
Police also reported that the Mutawakil’s driver was injured in the incident and was shifted to the rural health centre Karora for treatment.
According to police, Mutawakil Khan’s dead body was also dispatched to his home, Barkana, Shangla.
