Youth want comprehensive uplift in Torghar

By: Ghazi Ahmad
A large protest demonstration organized by Tehreek Nawazor Jadbah was held at the district headquarters in Jadbah, Torghar. The demonstration, featuring speeches from the district’s youth, political figures, and social activists, called for a series of improvements in the district.

Specifically, the protestors demanded the revitalization of the education system, the relocation of the Torghar Jadaba Judiciary to the district headquarters, the reinstatement of district quotas in Jadaba’s Higher Secondary School and Degree College, and immediate action from the Provincial Government to address the Torghar Health Department’s poor performance. Additionally, they highlighted the difficulties faced by residents due to the need for alternative mobile network providers besides Telenor, as well as the dilapidated state of the main highways connecting Jeddah to Thakot and Darband. Finally, the protestors emphasized establishing an account office within Torghar rather than requiring residents to travel to Mansehra. They warned of expanding the protest movement if their demands were not met.
