World food day marks in Shangla

Speakers at a seminar here at government schools in Shangla stressed on public to grow your foods by establishing their own vegetable orchards and support neighbours with extra foods instead of wasting it.
An event was organised by Lassona organisation in collaboration with WHH and BMZ at local government male and female schools here on Saturday to mark the international foods day. Where both male and female people were were among the attendants. Assistant district education officer, Ubaidullah, representative from Ihsanullah, Wealth Hunger Health, and Project Manager, Dr Inamulahq of Lassona addressed at the event.
Speaking at the event, they said that Pakistan was among the countries which had an issue of food insecurity and it stood at 75 in the international food insecure countries, Shangla district at 2nd suffering of food insecurity and nutrition.
They said they need to create awareness among the people particularly of the rural areas to get better livelihood and fresh foods through their own vegetable orchards etc.
Dr Inamulahq, PM Lasson, the organiser, said that they help the local communities to establish vegetable orchards for them at their places and also shops for their business so that they could make their ends met.
He said female was playing a key role in creating awareness among their communities on the importance of foods and it security.
