Two killed for honour in Martung Shangla

SHANGLA: A woman and a man were killed for honour in Mandoria area of Martung tehsil here the other day, police said on Sunday.

Martung SHO Mohammad Afzal Khan said on receiving information regarding the killing of a couple in Mandoria area, he reached the spot along with a police party and shifted the bodies to local rural health centre.

SHO Afzal quoted an eyewitness Ziauddin as saying that he along with his cousin, Tajuddin were going home on a motorcycle when Shah Jehan and his brother Mohammad Alam opened fire on them. As a result, Tajuddin sustained bullet injuries in various parts of his body and later died.

“Later, the two accused went home and killed a married woman on suspicion that she had illicit relations with the slain man,” Ziauddin said.

After fulfilling legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the familie.

The police registered a case under sections 302, 311, 324, 34/15A of PPC against the accused and arrested them during a raid on their house.
