Swat: A tree-planting ceremony was held in Malam Jabba, a tourist destination in Swat, to combat the effects of climate change. The ceremony was part of a campaign launched in Islamabad by the Sam Sons Group of Companies, and it brought together military personnel, civil administration officials, forest department officers, local elders, and top executives from the Sam Sons Group.

Wahidullah Khan, the media coordinator for Malam Jabba Ski Resort, spoke to the media about the event. He highlighted the global challenges posed by climate change, citing unusual rainfall patterns as a tangible consequence. Khan emphasized the worldwide focus on tree planting to mitigate this problem.

He described the ceremony as part of this global effort, explaining that Sam Sons Group is committed to preventing climate change by increasing forest cover through tree planting in the area. Khan expressed the company’s determination to continue such initiatives and called on the participants to actively contribute to tree-planting efforts. He emphasized that collective action through large-scale tree planting is crucial for successfully addressing climate challenges.
