Including women and children 9 people were died when a jeep carrying passengers fell into indus river at Shalkan abad area of Kolai Pallas Kohistan here on Sunday afternoon.
According to station house officer, Hafeez Ur Rehman the jeep was heading to Gadar a hilly area from Seer Ghazi Abad and 21 people were onboard, due to bad condition of road the jeep fell into the indus river.
He said 9 people jumped from the jeep when it was felling into the Indus river and they were miner injured, however including two women and three children were fell down towards the river in which 9 people died and including a women and man two people were drowned in the indus river and dead of 7 people have been recovered from the river and taken them to hospital in Seer Ghazi Abad.
SHO said, efforts are being made to fish out the dead bodies from the river and official of the administration are present at the accident site.
