Snow-chains around tyres of vehicles mandatory for vehicles plying in Shangla snow bound areas

The deputy commissioner, Shangla, Zia Ur Rehman has imposed ban on vehicles not putting snow-chains on the tyres plying on Shangla snow-bound roads for four months as snowfall started in the upper parts of the district in order to avoid traffic accidents.

After arrival of the winter season in Shangla district the deputy commissioner, Shangla, Zia Ur Rehman, issued a notification by imposing ban on vehicles, motorists not putting snow-chains around tyres.

It said the ban had imposed under section 144 for the next four months and it will remain imposed on all the roads of the snow-bound areas.

The deputy commissioner, Shangla, also urged the public particularly commuters to avoid unnecessary travel on Shangla high altitude roads, including Shangla top, Yakhtangay, Chakesar Kandaw, Ajmeer Valley and other snow-bound parts of the district to avoid mishaps.

POLITICAL ACTIVISTS JOINED JUI: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz local leader has announced joining the Jamiat Ulema-Islam-Fazal along with his supporters, friends and family at Awarai area of Puran tehsil in Shangla.

The JUI-F Shangla chapter held a public meeting at Awarai area in Puran tehsil on Thursday. The JUI-F Shangla senior leaders Haji Zahid Khan and Doctor Abid Khan were the chief guests on the occasion.

While addressing at the public meeting, Doctor Abid Khan said the JUI-F was strengthening in the district Shangla and people had been gotten fed-up with the prevailing government failed policies.

He said the inflation had hit everyone and poverty increased at highest level in the country.

Mr Khan said the JUI-F would win not only the local body elections but also the upcoming general elections in the district because JUI-F gained popularity and trust in the region.

The PML-N senior activist Sher Ali along with family members, supports and friends announced joining the JUI-F and hoped that he would remain in the JUI-F and support it in the elections.

POULTRY DEALERS FINED: The Bisham assistant commissioner, Bisham Aniq Anwar has imposed fine on poultry dealers in Bisham for selling chicken without weighting.

The AC Bisham paid surprise visit at Bisham bazaar on Thursday along with his team and inspected the poultry shops and found several of them selling alive poultry without weighting.

The AC Bisham fined the shopkeepers for violation the government rules by selling the chickens without weighting
