Six shops sealed, five traders held

SHANGLA: The district administration sealed six shops and arrested five traders on Monday for violating the lockdown and profiteering.

The shops were sealed by assistant commissioner, Alpuri, Wajid Ali, during raids in different bazaars.

He also checked prices of fruits, vegetables and other daily use commodities and instructed the shopkeepers to avoid profiteering and hoarding.

Meanwhile, assistant commissioner, Bisham, Khuram Rehman Jadoon, also conducted raids in the bazaars and arrested five shopkeepers for profiteering. He also set up a fruit and vegetable outlet with the help of philanthropists and youth to facilitate the poor to get the commodities at reduced rates.
Meanwhile, the government reopened a utility store outlet in Koz Kana area of Kana tehsil on Monday after its closure for a year. The locals had been facing problems since its closure.
