SHANGLA: A new spell of snowfall at upper parts and rain in plain areas started in all parts of Shangla district here on Sunday evening, increasing cold in the area.
The snowfall at Kapar Banda, Speen Ghar, Shangla Top, Yakhtangay, Ajmer, Kandaw, Gamtal and other parts of the district had received snowfall while covering its mountains in snow blanket.
On the other hand Bisham city, Alpuri, Chakesar, Puran and other major areas of the district had received showers which increased cold winds in the district, whereas local people of the upper parts started foods supply to their houses before starting of harsh weather.
According to local met office, the rain in plain areas and snowfall at hilly areas would remain continue for next three days which could down the mercury in the district.
