SHANGLA: Shangla police declared paying salute to teachers essential across the district as paying respect to the teaching profession, police at police stations, check posts, and on roads would pay salute to teachers.
A notification was issued by the district police officer, Shangla, Asif Gohar here on Wednesday, said that he has directed all the concerned SDPOs and SHOs of the various police stations and circles to make sure police pay salute to teachers in check posts, police stations and traffic wardens on roads.
It said, declaring salute essential to teachers was meant to respect the teaching profession because teaching was a most respectable and wise field.
The notification said, everyone of the society, whether, police officer or any other department head got the position after getting education from the teachers.
Meanwhile, the all Shangla teachers association’s delegation visited the DPO office for thanking him on giving him honour and respect.
DPO Asif Gohar told the 40 teachers delegation that for him teacher is respectable more than father and in the civilized nations people give due respect to teachers.
He urged the teachers to introduce themselves with police at check posts, police stations and even on roads with traffic personals so that they could cooperate and pay salute and respect.
