ALPURI: District police officer Shangla Sayed Rasool Shah has formed a committee for promotion of head constables, the DPO himself will be chairman of the committee.
A statement issued by the DPO Shangla here on Thursday said that about 35 head constables will be promoted, while 14 constables were promoted according to the police rules on seniority basis.
It said that remaining head constables to be promoted soon after posts fell vacant in the district police Shangla.
According to the statement the committee which chairman is DPO Shangla would supervise it and SP investigation Khalid Khan, SDPO headquarters Muhammad Bashir, SDPO Bisham Muhammad Zaman Khan and SDPO Alpuri Amjad Ali would be members of the committee.
It said the forming of committee was meant to check records of the head constables, giving suggestions under the rules regulations, so that they could promote the police with merit and transparency.
It said the head constables to be promoted on the recommendation of committee and it would have to observe documents and all required records of the constables before sending their recommendations.
