Shangla lawyers protests against murder of innocent Farishta

SHANGLA: Lawyers of the district bar Shangla came onto road protesting against the assault and murder of innocent Farishta in Islamabad and later discriminatory remarks aired by a news channels.
The protest which was called by the district bar Shangla’s president advocate Fayaz Ahmed Khan on Monday here at Alpuri chowk.
Lawyers of the district bar carrying banners inscribed with slogans, they shouted slogans against the failure of law and enforcement agencies while walking in the Alpuri bazaar.
While addressing the protest, the bar president Fayaz Ahmed, member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bar council, advocate Haq Nawaz Khan, Sultan Room and other demanded justice for the victim Farishta a innocent child, who was murdered in Islamabad.
They said, the state has been failed in provision of justice and protection of its citizens, that’s why the cases of child abuse on rise.
“The government should address the demands of the Pashtun Tahfuz Movement by negotiations instead of taking the people lives in different ways. We also strongly condemned the attack on unarmed protesters in Waziristan,” Haq Nawaz said.
He said, the incident should be investigated through a judicial commission.
The speakers on the occasion condemned derogatory remarks against Pakhtuns community by a private channels, adding they demanded ban on the channel which create hate among the nations of the country.
They said, Pemra should take legal action against the TV channel, otherwise they could not sop the countrywide agitation against the Tv channel and responsible authorities.
“We want promptly arrest of the murderer of innocent Farishta and ensure justice to her family. The child abusers should be hanged publicly, so that no one can dare next time to sexually molest children,” Advocate Sultan Room said.
He said, the Shangla bar lawyers will stand with the innocents people of the country, particularly Pakhtuns, which community is being discriminated for last two decades.
The protesters peacefully dispersed after warning the Islamabad police that if the Farishta murderer were not arrested before the Eidul-fiter they would come again on the roads for demonstrations.
The lawyers on Monday had also boycotted from the court proceeding.
