Rural areas women to get technical skills under BISP

Senator Rubina Khalid, visits Kohistan, addresses public gatherings in Tehsil Batera, Pattan, and Palas.

Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, stated that the Benazir Income Support Programme reflects the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for the welfare of poor women in Pakistan. She laid the foundation of this program during her exile in Dubai and implemented by President Asif Ali Zardari in 2008. Following the directives of the President of Pakistan and Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, it is our duty to ensure the dignity and full disbursement of funds to deserving women without any deductions.

Senator Rubina Khalid further mentioned that under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, scholarships are being given to children of deserving families. The Benazir Nashonuma Program plays a crucial role in meeting the nutritional needs of women and children. She added that skill training programs for deserving women and their family members are also being initiated to help reduce poverty.

Chairperson Rubina Khalid emphasized that 8171 is the only official number from which payment receipt messages are sent; any message from other numbers is fraudulent. Upon receiving a message from 8171, beneficiaries should visit the payment center. There is no fee for the dynamic registry.

Senator Rubina Khalid also visited the BISP District Office in Pattan, Lower Kohistan, where she reviewed administrative matters and instructed the staff to provide better guidance and facilities to deserving women.
