Restaurants in Shangla asked to replace unhygienic kitchen wares

The tehsil Chakisar executive magistrate, Muhammad Hamid Saddiqui has issued a week’s deadline to the restaurants management of Chakisar tehsil to change their kitchenware, rusted and unhygienic which according to him poses a health risk to consumers.

Following the public complaints, the executive magistrate, assistant commissioner for tehsil Chakisar, Muhammad Hamid Saddiqui conducted raids in the Chakisar bazaars and inspected the restaurants, and hotel kitchens and found rusted, unhygienic kitchenware pots being used in them.

The AC Chakisar later called the restaurant’s management to his office and fined them besides giving them a week deadline through a notice on Friday warning them to replace the kitchenware they used for cooking which the AC had found rusted and unhygienic.

The notice said that all restaurants must replace their pots stainless steel and mud pots within a week otherwise he would seal the restaurant and send his staff to jail if he found the same hazardous cooking pots.

The AC also mentioned in the notice that as per the medical research, rust caused different deadly diseases among human beings even though cancer illness.

He stated that the decision was taken in the best public interest to protect the public lives who come to these restaurants for food.
