Repair of damaged transformers in Shangla demanded

SHANGLA: The local people of Shangla have demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to repair the damaged transformers which went out of order over two weeks ago but yet to be repaired.

They told reporters on Friday that three transformers in Bisham city’s outskirts and one at Chagam in Puran tehsil damaged but despite complaining to the Pesco offices the transformers could not be repaired.

They said the Pesco staff was not bothering to repair the transformers and said that Shangla had no transformers workshops due to which the repairs of transformers would take time.

The Pesco officials in Bisham sub-division when contacted they told this scribe that the transformers were beings shifted to Chakdara for repairing and would be installed very soon.
