SHANGLA: Assistant commissioner, Bisham, Khuram Rehman Jadoon has asked the community-driven local development CDLD to recover the payment from community organizations, whose work did not exist on the ground.
AC Bisham tehsil, Khuram Rehman accompanied by CDLD staff had paid visits to the CDLD ongoing projects at Shang area of Bisham here on Tuesday.
Mr Khuram Rehman inspected the schemes and found several street lights installed under the CDLD’s schemes dysfunctional and as per rules asked the community to repair the lights.
Later on, while talking to media persons, he said that he does external monitoring on the CDLD schemes and had been instructed by the community-based partner organisations of the CDLD to ensure quality work of the projects as per mentioned in the agreements.
He said there were many community development projects were progress in the entire tehsil which would benefit the respective communities.
AC Bisham on the occasion asked the CDLD staff to get recovery of the payment from the water supply scheme of Shang union council where community organisation had not worked and received the payment of Rs 400,000.
He said that he can never tolerate embezzlement in the CDLD schemes and wanted completion of the schemes timely.
