Residents of Kana tehsil have demanded of the government to reconstruct a British-era bridge over the Khan Khwar River, which connects the tehsil with rest of the district. Talking to reporters, the Kana and Karora residents said due to narrowness of the bridge several vehicles had fallen into the river.

Local Syed Noor Tarmizi said steel fences of bridge were in tatters. He said pedestrians also used the bridge to cross the river risking their lives. He said the structure had become dilapidated, which could collapse anytime.

Naveed Ahmed, a resident of Damorai, said the local people had highlighted the issue, but to no avail. He said the bridge should be reconstructed with fences on both the sides. Sultan Room, a resident of Bar Kana, asked the authorities to reconstruct the bridge to avoid fatal accidents.
