Residents of Alpuri tehsil and its outskirts have resented the unscheduled excessive loadsheding, Criticising the Peshawar Electric Supply Company over their misery, they insisted that the electric supply remained suspended for more than 18 hours.
Residents of Alpuri, Lilonai, Kotkay, Koz Alpuri, Mota Khan and other areas on Saturday told reporters that they have been facing severe difficulties for a month due to prolonged excessive power outages in cold weather.
They said, on one hand the provincial government has banned use of firewood for warming and domestic use and on the other hand Pesco observes excessive loadsheding due to which they did not use electric warming heater at house.
Malak Adalat Khan, a local elder said that Pesco suspends the electricity after every hour and also at night troubling even the worships in the evening and night.
He said, the excessive power suspension has made their lives difficult because during winter the solar panels don’t work properly due to less charging.
Latif Khan, another local said they have complained severally to the authorities concerned, deputy commissioner Shangla as well as lodging complaint through the Prime minister citizen portal but yet action was taken against the prolonged loadsheding.
The locals demanded of the Pesco chief to take action against the unscheduled loadsheding because they pay bills on time but despite that the electricity remained suspended for over 18 hours.
