MNA threaten KKH blockade against closure of passport office

SHANGLA: Member National assembly from Shangla Ibadullah Khan has warned the government that if the Shangla passport office was not reopen within a week he would block the Karakoram Highway and hold sit-in against the government and directorate general passport and immigration department.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA from NA-10 Shangla Ibadullah Khan told media persons here on Thursday that government has closed the regional passport office Shangla due to which applicants were facing severe problems.
“The Passport office was approved and then established in PML-N tenure and has been working since last two years but now its closure can never be tolerated,” He added.
MNA alleged that the current government had also closed the Shangla two tehsils Nadra offices against which they have obtained stay order from the high court.
“I met the director general of passports department in this connection and he assured me that the office would be reopen very soon, however he clarified him, if the Shangla passport regional office was not made operational within a week, I will block the KKH at Bisham for holding sit-in against the PTI’s led government,” He warned.
He said the government will be responsible for any loss in result of their protest, because he can not tolerate further injustices with the Shangla residents.
CALL FOR CRICIKET PLAYERS: District sports officer Shangla has called young cricketers for under 17 talent hunt cricket scheme.
The district sports officer Zakaullah has called the young cricket players for talent hunt for trials here on Thursday while talking reporters.
He said that the Talent hunt trials 2019 is going to be conducted at Grassy ground on Friday, February 22.
He said the Shangla players contact the district sport office for their registration as soon as possible.
