Man sentenced to life imprisonment for woman murder

The district and session judge, Shangla Nasrullah Khan Gandapur on Wednesday sentenced accused to life imprisonment and fined him Rs 200,000 who had killed a woman and injured her husband in 2021 at Banjar area of Alpuri tehsil.

According to a senior lawyer who was counsel of the complainant party, Sulta-Rome advocate told journalists on Wednesday that after rounds of trials, producing evidences and recording testimonials, the district and session judge, Shangla, Nasrullah Khan Gandapur announced the verdict in the case while sentencing theDist murder accused Noor Khaista for life imprisonment with a fine of Rs 200,000.

The court further sentenced the accused for seven more years in attempt to commit murder and Rs 100,000 fine, similarly for keeping unlicenced pistol the accused was sentenced for 3 years and Rs 50,000 fine, for 5 years. Further the accused will pay Diyat to legal heirs of deceased.

The complainant counsel said that on October, 9, 2021, accused Noor Khaista had shot dead Shakeela Bibi and injured her husband and the FIR was registered at the police station, Alpuri followed by the incident.

He said Rafiullah was the investigation officer of the case who had conducted the investigation. During investigation postmortem of the deceased and Medical treatment of injured conducted. During spot inspection crime empties recovered and were sent to FSL for analysis with weapon of offence 30 bore pistol recovered on pointation of the accused.

The senior lawyer said after recording statements of 16 witnesses and hearing the arguments of the lawyers of both sides, the court announced the verdict by sentencing the accused multiple imprisonment.
