KPRA crackdown on tax evaders in Nathia Gali Abottabad

PESHAWAR: In a crackdown against sales tax evaders in Nathia Gali, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) North Region imposed heavy penalties on restaurants and hotels along with confiscating their records.

KPRA Deputy Collector Sundas Irshad along with Assistant Collector Muhammad Munir and KPRA team conducted raids on non compliant restaurants and hotels in Nathia Gali.

The team imposed penalties of Rs 100,000 each on restaurants including Kamran International Hotel and Taj Mahal Hotel for evading tax.
The team took the records of Kamran International Hotel, Green Retreat Hotel and Green Onion into custody and issued notices to Amore Hotel, Hummingbird, Red Onion Restaurant and Shangrilla Hotel to submit their records in KPRA office for scrutiny.
The Deputy Director Sundas Irshad in her message told the restaurants and hotel owners to start tax compliance otherwise strict action will be taken and no one will be allowed to evade tax.
