KP Launches First Air Ambulance Service to Boost Emergency Healthcare

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has achieved a significant milestone in healthcare with the successful test flight of its inaugural air ambulance service. Utilizing an MI-17 helicopter, the provincial government has transformed the aircraft into a fully equipped air ambulance, complete with state-of-the-art medical facilities. This initiative marks a major step forward in enhancing emergency medical services across the region.

Health Advisor Ihtisham Ali, who was onboard during the test flight, expressed his satisfaction with the project’s progress. He emphasized that the air ambulance is designed to provide free emergency medical evacuations, ensuring timely and life-saving assistance to residents in remote and underserved areas of the province. The service is part of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s vision to improve public health infrastructure and accessibility.
