Walk held against drug abuse in Shangla

SHANGLA: An awareness walk was held to mark International Narcotics Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking here on Wednesday in Bisham Shangla.
The walk was organized by local youth. Participants including tehsil nazim Alpuri, Muhammad Tahir Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner Bisham Amir Muhammad, ANP district president Sadeed Ur Rehman, Wakeel Khan, Usman Habib, Guldad Khan, Haji Rahim Shah and others also took part in the walk.
While carrying banners inscribed with awareness messages, they walked from Bisham tehsil to Bisham chowk where addressed the speakers to participants.
They said that any type of drugs injuries to the health and also for society as young generation in some parts addicted of this evil.
“We have to play collectively role to eradicate evil from the society because it harmful for our young generation. Police should also vigilant to deal with dealers and smugglers according to the law,” Tahir Khan said.
He said, government should also created awareness among the university students as they are addicted of ice-drugs.
AC Bisham Amir Muhammad said that government is striving to enact legislation for ice-drugs which will help in decreasing the ice-drugs abuse.
