First coronavirus death in Shangla

SHANGLA: A 70 year old man of Maira tehsil Bisham has died while battling against coronavirus at Isolation ward in tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bisham.
Assistant Commissioner Bisham Khuram Rehman, said that Muhammad Zar of Landai village of Maira in Bisham tehsil was contracted with covid-19 and his test report was resulted positive yesterday on Monday.
He said the deceased funeral was offered at THQ hospital Bisham, the hospital DMS Hafiz Sanaullah lead the funeral and attended by TMA Bisham and revenue staff as well as the facility staff.
The dead body later taken to native town Maira and buried at his ancestral graveyard by the TMA Bisham staff.
Meanwhile, the DC Shangla Imran Hussain Ranjha issued a statement said that the Maira Bisham covid-19 patient death was caused of cardiac arrest.
Earlier this, two new cases of covid-19 reported in Shangla taking the district tally to 05 on Tuesday.
DC Shangla, Imran hussain Ranjha, said, a 23 year old coalminer test result reported positive, who recently returned from Dara Adam Khel and samples was taken from him and sent for test to Islamabad which reported positive.
DC Shangla said, after taking sample he was advised self-quarantine at his house, however, after confirmation of infection the patient had been shifted to DHQ hospital Alpuri.
In the other case, Muhammad Zar of Maira Bisham was also tested positive who later died at THQ hospital Bisham.
After the death of covid-19 patient the Maira area of Bisham tehsil has been completely sealed and imposed curfew by the administration to stem the deadly virus further.
