The district administration Shangla on Tuesday distributed death compensation cheques among the heirs of three cousins, who were died due to lightning at Lelonai area of Alpuri tehsil.
The cheques distribution ceremony was held at the DC office Shangla, where DC Shangla Fayaz Sherpaw, district councilor from Lelonai Intikhab Alam and others were present.
The DC Shangla handed over the cheuqes of Rs 300,000 each to heirs of all the three deceased died after struck by lightning.
The DC on the occasion urged the public of Shangla to ensure safety precautions during rainfall and lightning as the government being created awareness about it to secure the precious lives of public.
He said in upcoming moon soon season citizens should care of their loved ones and also their own.
Meanwhile, the Assistant commissioner Alpuri Fidaul-Karim has fined a truck driver over carrying overload truck of timber on Shangla roads here on Tuesday.
The AC along the police force stopped the truck and fined him its driver on the spot for violating the traffic rules of loading.
