Coalmine workers rights activists to stage hunger strike today

Colamine workers welfare association, will stage a hunger strike today Thursday at Alpuri for seeking rights and legislation for the coalmine labourers.

The strike was called by CMWWA a week ago after the government failed in it promise of legislation for the rights and protection of coalminers.

Mian Sohrab and Muhammad Gul told Dawn that they have finalised preparations for the strike and will stage the hunger strike and also take out a rally in Alpuri bazaar.

They said, including CMWWA members, physically challenged, social activists, coalmine workers and others will take part in the strike and will continue unless their demands accepted.
