CM KP meets Religious Scholars for Peace Strategy

Collaborative Effort Targets Terrorism and Sectarian Challenges

A significant consultative meeting held on Monday in Peshawar under the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, with the participation of distinguished religious scholars. The purpose of the meeting was to formulate a comprehensive national strategy to address the critical issues of terrorism, sectarianism, ethnic prejudice, and other challenges faced by the province.

Chief Minister In his speech emphasized that the session was organized following the instructions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to address the repercussions caused by flawed policies of the past. He highlighted that several current challenges, including the surge in terrorism, stem from these earlier missteps.

“The nation has endured significant setbacks due to inefficient and poorly executed policies in the past. However, we are determined to find lasting solutions by involving all stakeholders, especially religious scholars, who hold a key role in steering the country forward,” stated Gandapur.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of restoring public confidence to effectively tackle terrorism. He reiterated that achieving peace and harmony requires collective efforts and active engagement from the community.

During the session, the scholars in attendance shared their recommendations and assured their dedication to assisting the government in fostering national cohesion, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring peace throughout the province.

The participants concurred that a collaborative strategy, involving government agencies, religious leaders, and the public, is crucial to addressing the fundamental causes of terrorism and sectarianism. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strive for a peaceful and thriving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, free from violence and extremism.

This consultative initiative underscores a renewed determination to bridge divides and promote unity among different sections of society, offering hope for long-term stability in the region.
