Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), met with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House in Peshawar. The meeting focused on detailed discussions regarding the provision of financial assistance to underprivileged communities in the province.
During the meeting, Rubina Khalid briefed Governor Kundi on the various initiatives underway under BISP and discussed proposals to enhance transparency in the financial aid and welfare system. Additionally, the two officials also deliberated on the acquisition of land for a BISP office in Peshawar to ensure better facilities for the public.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that BISP is a crucial initiative for supporting the underprivileged segments of society, empowering women, promoting children’s education, and creating positive impacts in the health sector. He stressed the need to establish model BISP offices across the country to expand the program’s reach and effectiveness.
The meeting highlighted the commitment of both officials to strengthen social welfare initiatives and improve the lives of vulnerable populations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and beyond.
