Ban imposed on uncovered water tanks and tyres in Shangla

Alpuri: The administration has imposed ban on uncovered water tanks and transportation of tyres for next 60 days in view of dengue outbreak.

Deputy Commissioner Imran Hussain Ranjha issued a notification here on Wednesday to impose ban under Section 144 of CrPC on water tanks without cover and transportation of tyres in the entire district for next 60 days.

The notification said that the decision was taken after dengue outbreak in the district. It said that more than 300 dengue cases were reported in Bisham tehsil and the disease was on the rise.

“The order will remain imposed for 60 days and violators will be punished according to the law,” said the notification. It added that the decision was meant to control dengue outbreak.

The notification said that preventive measures were being taken in the district, particularly in the affected areas where lady health workers were visiting houses on daily basis.
