The Awami Workers Party (AWP) Gilgit Baltistan demanded the government withdraw FIRs registered against the Hassan Abad residents and accept the legal demands of the local masses.
The demand was raised during a meeting of the AWP GB chapter held at Ali Abad Hunza, which was chaired by the AWP’s GB president, Baba Jan. It was attended by the local leadership and climate activists.
Baba jan said on the occasion that he condemned the behavior of the state and demaned immediate withdrawal of FIRs registered against the local people who were demanding their legal rights.
He said the government and relevant agencies should repair the portion of the KKH damaged in the recent floods and also the Shimshal road on emergency basis.
