Al-Khidmat Foundation distributed relief goods among flood and rain victims in Chitral.

CHITRAL: Al-Khidmat Foundation distributed relief materials consisting on winter package to the flood and rain victims of Kisu village. These goods were distributed to 130 families whose houses were affected by floods or rains and they were facing great difficulties with the arrival of winter. It includes mattresses, pillows and warm beds. Talking to the media, president Alkhidmat Foundation Lower Chitral Abdul Haq said that the first flood occurred in Chitral Lower on 28 July 2022 and many villages were affected by it. On July 29, Al Khidmat Foundation Chitral started the relief work. Food packages, tents, tarpaulins, clothes and beds were distributed among the three thousand victims of the affected areas. Water channels of some areas was damaged, people were engaged in construction and repair works under your help, cook foods were also distributed by Al Khidmat Foundation in these areas.

Abdul Haq further said that 8 people were died due to flood in Sheshikoh area. Al-Khidmat organized the Orphan Family program to support the children of martyrs under which 50 orphans are given 3500 rupees per month. Besides, cash assistance was also delivered to the victims of different areas. Construction and repair of flood-affected mosques has also been organized by Al-Khidmat Foundation. And very soon the construction work will start of these Mosques. Along with this, sheets and tins were also distributed to the affected families whose houses were completely affected. for the reconstruction of their houses. And the projects to supply clean drinking water in the affected areas are also underway.

All these works have been done with the support and guidance of Al Khidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Beds etc. were also distributed to the flood and rain affected families in Kisu village on the arrival of winter.

On this occasion, Amir Mehmood Cheema, National Director of Al-Khidmat Foundation, said that when I visited Chitral, the temperature here was minus seven degrees Celsius. We were facing difficulties so we distributed these materials blanket etc to these affected people so that these people can avoid cold. On this occasion, a few victims also spoke to our correspondent and said that we are very grateful to Al-Khidmat Foundation for cooperating with us in this time of trouble and saving us from the cold by giving us these relief goods.
