Action sought against drug peddlers in Bisham

SHANGLA: The residents of Bisham tehsil have demanded of the administration to discourage the use of Hashish because the young generation of the area is rapidly getting addicted to the curse.
The Civil Social society members and elders of Bisham told reporters on Monday that the use of Hashish was on rising among the young generation and often witnessed them smoking Hashish in the Bisham different streets for which concerned authorities should intervene and take measures for its discouragement.
Adnan Rafi Yousafzai, a local activist, said at least each young man addicted to Hashish in Butyal area of Bisham city and he was concerned for the new generation as mostly young boys turned addicted to Hashish.
“I have observed that majority of addicted boys ages are between 18-24 and roaming in the streets while smoking of Hashish. I want that police strictly take action and close the spots from where they bring the Hashish,” He said.
Shaukat Ali and the elder said they would fully support in this regard in discouraging eliminating of Hashish sources and discourage the youth addicted to the curse.
He said if timely action was not taken against the drug peddlers and its transporters and users the society would not be able to control the use of Hashish.
Hammad Umar Khel, urged the parents of drug-addicted to inquire their children and keep eyes on them and on their activities because in the future they may earn a bad name for them.
He said the local administration particularly the police should immediately take notice of the rising use of Hashish among the youth and close its sale points for saving the future of the young class.
DUG WELL INAUGURATED: The Puran tehsil assistant commissioner, Qaisar Khan inaugurated four dug well constructed by the Community-Driven Local Development CDLD at Baglila area of Puran tehsil.
The AC Puran tehsil Qaisar Khan along with revenue staff visited the sites where CDLD had built dug-well for the local communities and inaugurated the schemes. Local elders and CDLD officials were also present on the occasion.
AC Puran later on told media persons that these schemes were constructed by the CDLD by fulfilling the local communities needs of water.
He said local people of the area would use the fresh water from the dug-wells.
